I believe that no matter what our profession, or how long we’ve been doing it, there is always more to learn! So I’m always looking for workshops, webinars and courses that will hone my skills and add new ones so I can be exactly the voice that a casting director is looking for.
To that end, I recently took a voice over animation workshop with one of Canada’s busiest voice actors, Ron Rubin. He was in the cast of the Beetlejuice TV series, Sailor Moon, and countless others, so he has a lot of experience to offer.
I had lots of great studio time and every animation voice actor’s dream of being able to create multiple characters and get great feedback. Following the workshop, Ron’s comment to me was:
“You fully committed to your characters and took direction very well. You also displayed tons of energy in all the right places.”
I fully intend to work with Ron again and look forward to creating engaging and distinctive characters!
